Gift Cheques

i receive numerous gift checks. most of which i am happy to receive, yet normally, i'd tuck them under my planner and forget about them until......... it's near expiry! we keep stalling enjoyment of it until we do not have time anymore to think on how best to use it!

in many of our promotions here in Adventureland, we would always have people coming to our office and asserting (not requesting!) that their vouchers be made valid even after days or months of expiry. reasons given ranges from them being out of the country, to them coming here to Sharjah just to redeem this voucher so we have to make sure that make it worth their trip, or to simply not giving any reason except charming us with their kids' longing looks!

Gift checks... we'll never realize their worth until they're about to expire. i guess the same holds true with the one great gift given to us--- the gift of life!
