The Good is the Enemy of the Best

i know that the bad is the enenemy of the good, so i avoid the bad...

but, i often forget that the good is the enemy of the best. having to choose between the good and the best is not always easy, especially if the good is in terms of material, and the best is in terms of spiritual. i am a sensual being, and so those that i can physically see, hear, touch and taste usually have a better grip of my decisions. i've tossed a number of times the good and the best choices, where i let the good win.

and so for my seemingly perennial crossroad, this has finally hammered down my ever-wavering thoughts...
