Dubailand was conceptualized to be 'the' leisure and entertainment destination in the region. composed of numerous projects (some under construction, some under negotiation, some still on conceptual plans, while some are still in someone's imagination )

whew! and then there's the Metro Rail, and the underwater hotel, and the list goes on and on (just google it!)..... whatever Dubai is aiming for, one thing i admire with them is that they turn their visions into reality, amidst all the skepticisms and impossibilities.
